- Cover entire bottom & sides of a 9x13 baking dish with vanilla wafers. Cut up 3-4 bananas and lay pieces on top of wafers, covering the bottom.

MAKE THE PUDDING: In a saucepan, combine ¾ cup granulated sugar, flour, and salt; whisk until mixed. Turn the heat on to medium-low and whisk in milk. When the mixture reaches pudding consistency, remove from heat. Place a layer of banana slices in the baking dish on top of the vanilla wafers. Pour, spreading as necessary, half of the pudding over the wafers and banana slices.
