- Put the roast in the oven and sear for 20 minutes
- Add water and chopped onion and reduce the temperature to 275°F
- Cook for 20 minutes per pound. I like mine rare so that is what you will get when you cook for this period of time
All told me they wanted the Prime Rib dinner. I will follow recipe exactly and have no fears the Prime Rib Roast will turn out beautifully. All I can say is awesome. A boneless rib roast may be called "eye of the rib" roast – or if the ribs are still attached, a "standing rib" roast. The meat will be more flavorful if you roast it with the ribs still attached, but a boneless roast is definitely easier to carve.
