To begin with this recipe, we have to first prepare a few components. You can have asian pear sorbet using 4 ingredients and 4 steps. Here is how you can achieve it.
The ingredients needed to make Asian Pear Sorbet:
- Take 1 Asian pear (any variety)
- Get 3 tsp Granulated sugar (or sugar of your choice)
- Take 1 tsp Lemon juice (I use bottled lemon juice)
- Prepare 2 tbsp Water
Bring to a boil then lower heat to a hard simmer. Peal the pears, core, and finely dice, setting some aside of garnish. In a pot combine the pears, remaining sugar, remaining Moschofilero, and lemon juice. Simmer until the pears are soft.
Instructions to make Asian Pear Sorbet:
- Peel the pear, and cube into pieces several cm thick.
- Add pear, lemon juice, and sugar to the blender, and blend. It is fine if there are some chunks left.
- Transfer the mixture (from Step 2) into a zip lock bag, add the water to the mixer and give it a whirl. Make sure any remaining bits of pear are also poured into the bag.
- Chill in freezer for about 2 hours. After an hour or so, take out the bag and work it a little to break up the chunks.
Transfer the mixture to a blender and puree until smooth. Turn the simple combination of fresh pears and sugar into a refreshing, cool sorbet. The amazing thing is how much the slightly grainy texture of fresh pears comes through in the final sorbet. Garnish the sorbet with a slice or two of fresh pear, if you like or, for a pop of color, a few pomegranate seeds. Be the first to rate and review this recipe.
